Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator serves as support for the marketing team and administrative staff. This position requires a creative person to manage the dissemination of DLA marketing materials. This involves the coordination of creative marketing materials including The Downtown newsletter, website, advertisements, visitor brochures and gift card promotions. This position is also involved with the planning and support of several downtown events. The Marketing Coordinator develops relationships with a wide variety of downtown businesses to help promote DLA’s mission.
Specific Duties:
1. Assist in the planning and execution of all Downtown Lincoln branding and advertising initiatives.
2. Develop and maintain positive working relations with downtown business and property owners.
3. Assist marketing team in the planning and execution of all social media initiatives.
4. Work in conjunction with the marketing team to maintain all creative aspects of DLA’s website.
5. Serve as the primary coordinator for DLA’s semi-annual Shop the Blocks events.
6. Assist in the planning and execution of various downtown events.
7. Coordinate DLA’s visitor booth at several University and downtown conventions.
8. Assist marketing team in the writing and production of various communication materials.
9. Interview new and current downtown business owners, employees and various other constituents.
10. Serve as primary liaison for the distribution of multiple marketing materials across downtown.
11. Serve as an assistant for customer service and telephone responses.
Position Requirements: .
 Strong creative skills and experience in Creative Suite software.
 Ability to work with a wide range of people and to meet a variety of demands in a fast-paced environment.
 Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
 Strong interview and communication skills.
 Basic Knowledge of all social media tools including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Constant
Contact, Foursquare, InstaGram and Pinterest.
 Ability to be detailed and self-motivated.
 Ability to deliver materials throughout the downtown area either on foot or by personal transportation.
Position Specifications:
Compensation: Starting at $10.00/hour
Hours: 25-30 | Flexible Schedule (Preferred Hours 11 am-5 pm, M-F)
