DESCRIPTION
The work is in our Integrated Water Management (IWM) Division. The position will be full-time for the summer and part-time for the fall semester. Applicant must be task oriented, and will provide support for integrated water management research and planning efforts. This position involves working with planning and research staff within the department.
Assist in: reviewing and editing draft integrated water management plans, reports, technical memos, fact sheets, and other publications of the Integrated Water Management Division; developing and implementing information sharing techniques to display and describe data; organizing data and required information for integrated water management and plan implementation; organizing the integrated water management webpage; developing and maintaining databases and other information management methods for integrated water management plans, compacts, decrees and interstate agreements to ensure effective data storage and efficient retrieval; developing publication procedures.
QUALIFICATION
This position requires a self-motivated, honest, detail-oriented individual who is capable of working independently. Experience with computers, specifically: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Vizio, Adobe Publisher, In- Design, or other publishing software,. Ability to: organize personal work assignments under directed supervision; understand and apply written and oral work assignments; complete tasks in a timely manner to meet deadlines; locate and summarize information from policies, practices and procedures; proofread and detect errors in a final product; understand and apply department publishing standards; develop and maintain a relationship of trust and confidence with division staff. Knowledge of: English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and composition for purposes of recognizing and correcting errors in data entry as well as review of IWM publications.
