Position title: Graphic Design Intern
Position description:
Are you a graphic designer looking for an opportunity to hone your craft and
build your portfolio? Hurrdat is seeking a talented graphic design intern to
help assist our creative team with current and future clients. You’ll be
working on a variety of projects that will range from creating innovative
cover photos for our clients’ Facebook pages to formatting layouts for
microsites. We’re looking for a talented creative with a strong work ethic
and thick skin. Experience with social media marketing is a plus. We are
highly collaborative, fast-paced, and passionate about what we do.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
• Design and format marketing materials including info-graphics, cover
photos, social media backgrounds, proposals, presentations, flyers, etc.
• Maintain client brand standards
• Understanding design and layout of micro-sites
• Design/format charts, graphs, illustrations, maps, logos and other
artwork
• Work both independently and within a team
• Proofread and edit for accuracy of copy, spelling, grammar and layout
• Provide advanced administrative support as assigned
Required experience:
• Advertising, Marketing, or Graphic Design degrees preferred
• Experience: 1-4 years experience (college experience counts) in graphic
design
• Familiarity with agency structure and working with clients to deliver
projects
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of graphic design software including Adobe
InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Career driven individual with ability to work independently in a
deadline-driven environment
• Keen eye for typography and design/layout proficiency
• Ability to collaborate with coworkers on various projects and take
direction
• Detail oriented, organized, editing skills and knowledge of digital
marketing field
• Must know PowerPoint as a design tool
• Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
