Minnesota Public Radio is offering two part-time and unpaid internships this summer in downtown St. Paul. Job #527-11 is a production internship for the morning NPR program, All Things Considered. The intern will assist All Things Considered or Morning Edition in the daily production of the show. The intern must be able to earn one college credit. Working hours may vary.
Position Responsibility:
Duties will include researching stories, logging tape, assisting with production, and working on special projects.
Required Education and Experience:
• Currently enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably with an emphasis in journalism, communications or a related field.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Keen knowledge of current events
• Basic audio and Web production skills
• Able to follow directions and work on tight deadlines
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Previous work in high school or college media
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
• Physical Demands:
• Required to move about in an office environment and sit for extended periods of time
• Required to move about in the community
• Frequent use of hands for data entry/keystrokes and simple grasping.

• Moderate noise level
• Occasional exposure to prevalent weather conditions.
