Creating Your Own eBook, December 3

Learn how to publish ebooks using free tools and integrate their use in the classroom. Brian Moore, associate professor of music education at UNL and Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) will give a demonstration, December 3, 11:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m. in the City Union. The presentation is part of the iPad Roundtable series, sponsored by Information Technology Services.

Moore has written his own iPad-based textbook as the sole required text for one of his courses. All required music listening, homework assignments, self-faced quizzes, readings and lectures are done via this ebook. This multi-media rich format is designed to be highly interactive, engaging, and fun for students to use.

Moore has been involved with Music In Education (MIE) (Yamaha Corporation of America) as well as instructional software development and has gained national recognition in the field of music technology. His work in software development continues to focus upon music education, composition, and mobile devices and teaching.
