Your responsibilities:
• Gather information from subject matter experts, including engineering, marketing, and project management, about various products and processes
• Create, track, and complete documentation changes using the corporate change application software
• Update existing documentation (user manuals, technical data sheets, quick start guides, white papers, etc)
• Input technical documentation into documentation management system
• Reformat existing documentation into updated Style and Format using existing style guide
• Perform research, writing, production and maintenance of software users’ manuals, procedural guides, administration guides, installation and configuration guides, release notes, and customized documentation
• Proofread and edit documentation written by various project team members to ensure proper usage of grammar, punctuation, spelling, styles and formatting
• Work with technical staff to ensure technical reviews of documents are conducted properly and on time.
Your competencies and qualifications:
• Enrollment in a Bachelor degree program with an emphasis in Communications, English, Journalism or related major
• Coursework and interest in technical writing desired
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Familiarity with Adobe Framemaker, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, or CorelDraw helpful
