Neebo is looking for a self-motivated individual to fill one marketing intern position June 1st (flexible) through December of 2011 (flexible). This internship will give the opportunity to explore and advance in digital advertising.

What are we looking for? Well, preferably an individual going for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in advertising, marketing or a related field. We want you to be self-motivated, organized, strategic, detail-minded, and ideally an excellent softball player (the corporate team is down this year and we need to hire a ringer). Also, if you can tell us how to beat level 7-15 on Angry Birds, that’s a bonus.

Intern responsibilities will include, but are not limited to helping update social media including Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare as well as sending email and text message blasts to college bookstore customers across the nation. These digital communications are aimed at students and contain various store promotions and coupons that drive students into the stores for events throughout the year. Included in these tasks will be the opportunity to write the content that goes into the messages and tracking the results. The intern will also help in keeping store databases up to date and may assist in various research projects, photoshoot preparation, event planning and will offer a youthful, audience-minded perspective and voice on projects, promotions and media.

Candidates should be team-oriented and willing to work 15-20 hours/week (flexible) and have the option to work 30+ during the summer. Excellent oral communication and the ability to work a basic excel sheet is necessary. Pay is $7.50/hour.
