Apply for CoJMC's first Bateman Competition team - apps due Oct. 21

Are you eager to practice the communication skills you have learned in a PR campaign? Are you passionate about helping make Lincoln a better community? We have the Bateman competition here for you.

Bateman (http://www.prssa.org/scholarships_competitions/bateman/) is a premier national competition sponsored by the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). In teams of four or five, you will research, plan, execute and evaluate a comprehensive public relations campaign.

Participation in this project counts as fulfillment of a capstone course, similar to the NSAC competition. This year, we will partner with NeighborWorks in Lincoln to raise awareness of the importance of affordable housing. The teams will conduct research and planning from November 2014 to January 2015, implement the campaign in February and evaluate the results in March.

This is an opportunity for you to be members on our first team to compete in this event.

Interested students can fill out an application form at http://bit.do/cojmcbateman by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 21.

You may also contact the advisers for this competition, Bryan Wang (mwang10@unl.edu) or Sheri Sallee (ssallee2@unl.edu) if you have questions.
