Judy Woodruff to take questions from journalism students in PBS NewsHour Facebook chat

PBS NewsHour [http://www.pbs.org/newshour/] is hosting a Facebook chat [http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/judy-woodruff-school-journalism-students-facebook-chat/] for aspiring journalists with co-anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff on Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 2-3 p.m. EST.

Ms. Woodruff is an award-winning journalist who has been covering politics and current events for nearly four decades at PBS, CNN and NBC. She and Gwen Ifill were named co-anchors and managing editors of the PBS NewsHour in 2013. This marked the first time a U.S. network broadcast had a female co-anchor team, and at present, they’re the only two women leading a national nightly news program on broadcast. Ms. Woodruff is a founding co-chair of the International Women’s Media Foundation.

Students can join the conversation by visiting the PBS NewsHour Facebook page [https://www.facebook.com/newshour] on Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 2-3 p.m. EST. Students will have the opportunity to ask Ms. Woodruff questions about her career trajectory, her experience navigating the changing media landscape and more. She’ll address questions posted on the PBS NewsHour Facebook page through her public profile.

This will be the first in a series of Facebook chats for journalism students featuring PBS NewsHour journalists who operate both on and off-camera. Stay tuned for information about additional PBS NewsHour journalism Facebook chats.
