Four CoJMC students help UNL win fourth Big Ten Title

Daniel Wheaton, Toni Karaus, Reece Ristau and Linsey Armstrong of the College of Journalism and Mass Communication helped the University of Nebraska-Lincoln speech and debate team earn its fourth Big Ten title. Two CoJMC students placed first in individual categories. Karaus and partner Josiah BeDunnah placed first in duo interpretation and Karaus placed first in poetry interpretation.

Two ADPR students create ‘3 percent UNL’ collegiate chapter

The College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is the first university to establish a collegiate chapter affiliated with The 3% Conference. The student organization is the brainchild of Samee Callahan and Amanda Walla.

Interdisciplinary collaboration makes for perfect job placement

For more than six years, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications and the Department of Meteorology and Climatology have collaborated to educate students who are trained in meteorology and broadcasting.

Fall 2014 Dean’s List, Honor Roll

Jacht Ad Lab welcomes new crew for spring 2015

Jacht Ad Lab announced 26 students selected for the spring 2015 crew. Jacht gives UNL students the opportunity to run all aspects of an ad agency with the mentorship and support from Nebraska Global and local ad agencies Bailey Lauerman and Swanson Russell.

Meet the Spring 2015 Omaha World-Herald fellows

The Omaha World-Herald chose four undergraduates from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications to work as fellows at the newspaper this spring. The students will contribute stories and/or photos to the paper and work alongside its journalists and photographers while continuing their studies at the college this semester.
