We want to hire a UNL student who believes that design matters and who is excited and ready to contribute to our work of supporting the UNL brand through strategic marketing communications.
The Role:
-Collaborate with our team of graphic designers to assist with all kinds of design projects, from multi-page brochures to postcards to social media graphics.
-Assist with new creative thinking and executions; work with our clients and creatives to deliver head-turning design content.
-Support design work for a variety of campus clients, potentially including several academic colleges, University Housing and Greek Affairs
Necessary Skills:
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
-Ability to learn/understand and apply principles of UNL design standards (Toolbox) in all work
-Contribute individually and participate in cross-functional teams
-The fundamentals: pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, give and take feedback, communicate like a pro (including rationales for design choices), and apply what you learn
BONUS:
-Junior/Senior/Grad Student standing
-Experience from a previous design internship / part-time job
-Know InDesign and Photoshop like the back of your hand
