"I'm running for student government to make an impact on the college that I'll be a part of for the next four years. As a student in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, I personally want to gain an experience that is unlike any other and will set me apart from students from other universities when I graduate. I want this for not only myself, but also every student who graduates with a degree from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Students should be able to get the most out of their college education and connect with as many people as possible that will send them in the right direction and help them to learn as much as they can. By providing students with the right opportunities, working with faculty members and communicating with CoJMC's entire student body, I hope that my involvement with student government will make a impact on every individual who walks into the doors of the college. I want students to graduate knowing the gained as much as the could while at UNL. Through my involvement with student government, I hope to accomplish this and much more and will continue to strive to make UNL's College of Journalism and Mass Communications one of the top colleges in the nation."

"While in student government this upcoming year, I hope to improve the communication between faculty members and students. As a student, I understand how important it is to get the most out of your college education. In the College of Journalism and Mass Communications specifically, the connections and relationships that you foster with your professors and faculty members is extremely important for your success in the future. I hope to better these relationships by opening up more opportunities for students to interact with faculty members outside of a classroom setting. In return, I'm hoping to change the overall experiences students have while at UNL, making it a positive one. I also want to improve upon the use of technology within classrooms. Doing so, I want faculty members to become informed and educated on how to use certain technologies to improve upon how time is used during class meetings. I also believe that it's especially important that students are aware of where their tuition dollars and the money that they give UNL is going. As a senator, I'll serve as a liaison between the ASUN and the COJMC community, voicing to students where their dollars are going and taking student opinions on what should be changed. UNL students deserve to get the most out of their education and have the best experience possible. Through working with faculty members and changing how classroom time is used in CoJMC, I hope that students will be able to get the most out of their time at UNL and remain students of CoJMC.”
