Iowa Farmer Today seeks a well-rounded journalist who excels as a reporter, writer and photographer, for print and digital publication.
This position:
• Writes and edits newsletters
• Provides new and features stories on farmers and farm issues related to crop and Livestock production, economics, policies and farm life
• Helps manage and populate websites and social media
• Designs pages for print publication
•
Commodity market reporting and editing experience required, farm background preferred.
The position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with travel to cover stories primarily within the state. Candidates should be self-motivated and genuinely interested in issues facing farmers and rural communities.
