Lied Center for the Performing Arts Internships

Marketing and Sales Intern assists with a wide array of marketing-related initiatives, including season ticket sales renewals, group sales solicitation and overall campaign evaluation.

DUTIES:
• Build community awareness of upcoming Lied Center performances and outreach opportunities by establishing connections with local business and Lied sponsors
• Distribute posters, flyers, and other materials throughout downtown Lincoln and to other key locations
• Make outbound phone calls to follow-up on group sales inquiries

Qualifications:
Superior communication skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently; organization and self-driven initiative are needed. Creative thinking and problem solving skills. Interest in or knowledge of the performing arts desirable, but not required.

$10.50/hour; 15-20 hours/week. Anticipated start date ASAP

Work Study Position
MARKETING INTERN assists with a wide array of marketing related initiatives including group, corporate, and VIP ticket fulfillment as well as managing the Lied Center’s grassroots materials distribution to local businesses and sponsors.

Students must receive Federal Work Study to apply for this position.
DUTIES:
• Work with Marketing Manager to ensure superior group sales experience for all current clients
• Periodically assist Marketing Manager on Lied Center performance nights with special events or with group coordination
• Make outbound phone calls to follow-up on group sales inquiries
• Build community awareness of upcoming Lied Center performances and outreach opportunities by establishing connections with local business and Lied sponsors
• Distribute posters, flyers, and other materials throughout downtown Lincoln and to other key locations
