The American Copy Editors Society (ACES) will be hosting a forum with Sean Hagewood, the news coordinator for
the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s University Communications, on Friday, Oct. 9 in Andersen Hall Room 120 at
3 p.m. Hagewood will be giving advice on searching for a job and how to promote yourself in the professional world.
As news coordinator, Hagewood oversees all aspects of external news releases, which includes their preparation,
development and scheduling, for the university. He also works with members of the local and regional media to connect
them with campus sources and writes general-assignment news stories about the university. Additionally, Hagewood’s
boss will be accompanying him to offer more advice and insight on the professional world.
