You’re invited to see Dallas Mavericks radio play-by-play announcer Chuck Cooperstein who will be speaking with sports reporting students at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 22 in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Cooperstein will talk with students in Tom Gemelke’s Sports Reporting class in room 15, Andersen Hall. Cooperstein will be in Lincoln for Friday’s NBA pre-season game between the Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Chuck Cooperstein is entering his tenth season as the radio play-by-play voice of the Mavericks. Cooperstein’s sports broadcasting background also includes play-by-play stints with TCU and the University of Texas football, as well as TCU, Texas A&M and SMU basketball. He has broadcast CBS/Westwood One NCAA basketball games since 1991 and CBS/Westwood One college football games since 1995. He has also hosted the Dallas Cowboys pre-game shows.
