Editor, KOCO-TV (Oklahoma City)

KOCO-TV, the ABC affiliate
 and Hearst Television station in Oklahoma City, has an immediate opening for a 
full-time Editor. Editors are essential 
in the development of special projects and work closely with reporters to
 enhance the visual quality of their reports.

Responsibilities:
· Coordinate
“Pathfire” and “Oasis” downloads at direction of show producers
· Edits
 video for newscasts (vo, vo/sot, pkg, headlines, teases) and breaking 
news/weather coverage
· Records incoming satellite and microwave feeds (including local news feeds and HTV
 feeds)
· Maintains
 video archive and catalog; locate and retrieve archived video at
producer/reporter request.
· 
Dubs
 video for stations/networks as needed
· Creates 
special video sequences upon request using non-linear edit facilities. (Adobe
Premiere)
· 
Edit
 videotape and non-linear content for daily Newscasts and taking video feeds
from local remotes, satellite shots as well as recording national feeds and
stories for our daily newscasts.

Experience:
• 
Must
 be extremely computer literate and have experience with multiple audio &
video formats and knowledge of the web.

• Have
 a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience editing non-linear and videotape content for
daily newscasts.
• Able
 to work quickly and efficiently with an eye for accuracy, creativity &
 detail.
• 
Must
 be well organized and able to produce large amounts of content under a tight
deadline.
