Apply NOW for the CoJMC’s 2016-17
National PRSSA Bateman Competition Team;
Online Form & Mini-PR Plan Due by March 21

Channel your good works for this real-world PR opportunity that allows you to research, plan, implement (here on campus and in our community), evaluate and ‘pitch’ your campaign.

The CoJMC decided to get a jump on recruitment this spring to allow the final team(s) to get the most out of this campaign competition experience. This ADPR 339/439 course spans portions of the fall and spring semester:

• approximately eight weeks of the fall semester (Oct. 3 through early December) – when the team will complete the campaign research and strategy

• approximately 11 weeks in the spring semester (Jan. 9 through early April) – when the team will create and roll out campaign tactics, assess overall campaign effectiveness and send in an overall campaign ‘pitch’ to PRSSA judges

DO GOOD. Previous Bateman campaigns have addressed social issues relevant to today, such as stereotypes of veterans, affordable housing, bullying and obesity. You can learn more about the Bateman Competition on the national PRSSA website at http://bit.ly/1H0qVBG.

IT’S A WINNING COMBINATION: In our first year, the CoJMC Bateman teams earned a top-16 national finish as well as a ‘Best of Show’ and ‘Outstanding Strategy to Address a Problem’ in the student division of PRSA Nebraska’s Paper Anvil Awards.
