The class meets Tuesday evenings, beginning at 6pm, with Omaha World Herald Advertising Training Manager Gary Domet.
Part of our sales track, this class teaches up-to-date material about traditional and non-traditional media sales, including all things digital, like electronic advertising.
The class is primarily designed to introduce the student to the elements of advertising sales. It can be a foundation to build a career in sales. The class includes Marketing and Media Ecology, Sales Skills necessary to succeed and finally covers all media types, print, electronic including TV and radio and naturally the internet.
In addition, we will discuss current events in the marketing and advertising arena, including subjects from agencies like RFP's, examples of effective and ineffective advertising, Super Bowl advertising and anything that is of interest to the students.
Lastly, there will be guest speakers, from an agency, TV, radio and print who will provide a glance into their worlds, all in an effort to inform the student to the benefits of a sales career.
The class is held on Tuesday nights at 6PM in room 109 of the Anderson Building.
