ICPSR Scholarship Application Open - Apply by April 30

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) is offering funds to support training in statistics, quantitative methods, research design and data analysis for graduate students and pre-tenure scholars.

ICPSR scholarships provide a tuition waiver to the four-week sessions of the ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research. Held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Summer Program’s four-week sessions provide an immersive experience for learning statistics and quantitative methods while developing professional relationships with students and researchers from around the world. Each session features a broad curriculum of courses that participants may attend, including introductory-level statistics, regression analysis, game theory, multilevel models, Bayesian analysis, network analysis, longitudinal analysis, time series analysis, categorical data analysis and more.

Three- to Five-day Workshops

From May through August 2016, the Summer Program is offering more than 45 short workshops in cities across the US, Canada and Europe. These short workshops are perfect for students, researchers and policy-makers who need to learn a specific technique in a few days. Workshops of interest include:

• Text Analytics
• Network Analysis: An Introduction
• Network Analysis: Statistical Approaches
• Structural Equation Models and Latent Variables: An Introduction
• Structural Equation Modeling with Stata
