Dow Jones News Fund 2012 Summer Internship Applications Now Online

Who? Juniors, seniors, new grads are eligible.

What? Paid news, sports and multimedia editing internships.

Where? News outlets across the country. UNL interns have gone to Denver Post, Dallas Morning News, St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Palm Beach Post, Grand Forks Independent and more.

When? Apply before Nov. 1 on the College Programs page at https://www.newsfund.org/

How? You’ll need to take an editing test, which will be given the last week in October. Sign-up sheet will be posted outside Sue Burzynski Bullard’s office, Room 241, Andersen Hall.

What else? Each intern gets free pre-internship training at a university boot camp, $1,000 scholarships, and travel expenses during training.

Is it easy? No, it’s a tough test for a highly competitive internship. But Sue will organize practice games/tests during October so stay tuned for details.

Is it worth it? Absolutely. DJ interns say it’s opened doors to other internships and full-time jobs.
