Farm Broadcaster, Nebraska Rural Radio Association

The Nebraska Rural Radio Association is currently seeking a farm broadcaster to join our team. The NRRA is the only farmer and rancher owned radio stations in the country. The stations include KNEB in Scottsbluff, KTIC in West Point, KAWL/KTMX in York, KAMI in Cozad and flagship KRVN, a 50,000 watt AM powerhouse.


Experience:
The ideal candidate is a friendly, team oriented and motivated radio talent with at least 10 years of broadcast experience. This person needs to be passionate about providing agricultural producers the information they need. Educating listeners outside the industry about the importance of agriculture is also a major focus.
Our next farm broadcaster should be comfortable communicating across multiple platforms including broadcast, website, and social media.

Requirements:
The perfect candidate will possess: An agricultural background or education. The people skills necessary to represent the Rural Radio Network at local, regional, and national agricultural industry events. The ability to interview industry experts, government officials, and news makers. News writing, gathering, and anchoring skills. The ability to anchor news and market updates. Strong social & digital media skills. Experience with video a plus. A willingness to travel to cover meetings and conventions. Experience with Adobe Audition and other basic broadcast audio software.
