Diana Carlin (PhD. in Communication, UNL) is Professor Emerita and former Associate Provost for Graduate and Global Education at SLU. She was Dean of Graduate Education and International Programs at University of Kansas. Carlin created DebateWatch and advised the Presidential Commission on Presidential Debates, authoring The 1992 Presidential Debates in Focus and The Third Agenda in U.S. Presidential Debates: DebateWatch and Viewer Reaction. Carlin has been a consultant for the U.S. State Department and non-governmental organizations in several countries establishing political debate traditions.
