University Communications has feature-writing internship available

The news office in University Communications is looking for a newswriter for student-focused public relations stories during the fall and spring semesters. This is a 10-12 hour-per-week internship interviewing and writing feature stories for news releases or publication in UNL's electronic newsletters.

This position has flexible but regular hours. Candidates must have experience conducting interviews and writing news features, and demonstrated creativity in presenting thoughtful, engaging and informative feature pieces. Preference will be given to upper-level journalism majors.

Must be a self-starter, be accurate, have an excellent command of the written language, and be thorough. Abilities in photography or videography are a plus.
