Coordinate, promote, and support communication/public relations programs and projects for Nebraska business trade association projects, including but not limited to:
- Social media - help develop a cohesive marketing strategy and manage social media platforms; content review and creation; assist member organizations with their social media content and strategy
- Online publications - newsletter and blog creation and management
- Public relations - write and distribute press releases
Ideal candidate currently pursuing a degree in communications or journalism, with coursework or experience using office and graphics software.
Starting pay is $10/hour – 12-20 hours per week (we’re flexible). IIAN is a pretty fast-moving environment – we do lobbying at the state and federal levels, conduct continuing education and professional development courses statewide, and promote our members through our consumer branding program, Trusted Choice® and relationship with Make-A-Wish Nebraska®. Our members are (mostly) small businesses and their employees throughout Nebraska, along with insurance companies and service providers.
