Jacht Ad Lab, the student communications firm of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, is hosting a final presentation on Friday, Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the lower level of the Haymarket space at 151 N. 8th. The event is free and open to the public.

Students will present a summary of work from the fall semester, including a rebranding campaign for the Lincoln bus system, an industry recruiting campaign for the Nebraska Broadcasters Association and an employment campaign for Lancaster Rehabilitation Center.

The current Jacht crew includes 34 students selected from a cross-campus pool of almost 90 applicants. They represent majors including advertising and public relations, broadcasting, journalism, finance, graphic design, marketing and children, youth and family journalism.

Jacht is a three-credit hour class as well as a fully functioning small business within the university. Founded in 2010 by Dr. Amy Struthers, the agency has provided services to more than 50 businesses. Nearly 300 students have participated in Jacht since the first semester of just 13 students.
