Dear Students,

Congratulations on making it to the end of the semester! Your hard word and diligence have resulted in success at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. I cannot applaud you enough, and it only seems fitting that, after all this work, you have time to rest and recuperate before another exciting semester.

Before you go, though, I’d like to take a moment to highlight some of the success we have had as a college this semester:

• Multiple students received awards for their hard work in journalism, broadcasting and advertising and public relations
• Jacht redesigned and launched the new Lincoln Public Works campaign
• CoJMC students live-produced and covered Election Day throughout the state of Nebraska
• Multiple faculty have published books and articles that are helping further education in journalism and mass communications

These are only some of the successes we have experienced as a college. There will be more to come in the near future. Commitment and dedication to this field is something we don’t take lightly, and I applaud you for your commitment and dedication.

I look forward to seeing where you go and what you accomplish, but until then, I hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable winter break. Travel safely, enjoy the company of friends and family, and we in CoJMC will see you in the New Year.

Happy Holidays,

Maria
