For 2017, the NPA Foundation will offer up to a total of four (college and high school) scholarships of $2,000 each. Preference will be given to students who will be pursuing newspaper journalism education at a Nebraska university or college. Scholarship applications must be postmarked by Feb. 17, 2017.
Eligible to apply are 2016-2017 college/university students who graduated high school in prior years and who are now enrolled in Nebraska colleges and universities. Enrollment must be on a full-time basis. The recipient must use and enroll no later than the start of the third semester after the awarding of the scholarship.
The scholarships will be given to students with a specific interest in news, editorial, photography, circulation, production, or advertising careers on weekly, semi-weekly, or daily newspapers.
