Account Coordinator/Media Specialist, Redstone

We’re looking for an Account Coordinator/Media Specialist who will help a senior level media strategists and buyers provide great marketing strategy, problem-solving and media buying for a growing base of clients. If you are quick learner who can adapt to changing needs and different kinds of communication styles and you can do all those things with a smile, you’re a Redstone kind of person. The ideal candidate needs to be organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple priorities. Being resourceful and a bit fearless in your approach to navigating new situations and new information is a definite plus.

Position-Specific Duties:

Assist the media team with all tasks necessary to help ensure that all media buys are placed in a timely and accurate manner according to deadlines and schedules. This includes, but is not limited to:
-Opening estimates
-Auditing invoices for assigned clients
-Working with media buyers and media partners to resolve placement/invoicing discrepancies
-Coordinating invoice reconciliations with accounting team
-Traffic media schedules and coordinate distribution of creative assets as needed
-Assist with preparation and maintenance of media flowcharts for assigned clients
-Maintain client files and media files.

Quickly establish and maintain professional working relationships with media vendors in multiple markets, primarily using email and phone. Treat them each in a fair and ethical manner.

Ensure we regularly and routinely give clients and vendor partners many reasons to like and trust us.

Assist with gathering and synthesizing client industry and media research on a regular basis. This helps ensure:
-that media team has timely, easy-to-use information to assist them with preparing media strategies that address the client’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
-that the client service team has information to help educate clients about dynamic variables in the media buying environment so they are not taken by surprise when they experience them.

Become fluent in each of assigned client’s businesses so that you better anticipate needs, ask better questions and help the media and client services team prepare better recommendations that make you and Redstone a more valuable resource to each client.

Assist with new business outreach efforts as appropriate.

Attend weekly client service and media department meetings.

Provide occasional front desk support.

Special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Formal Education and Training:

-Formal education and training in some or all the following: marketing, advertising, business writing

-Media vendors, Redstone staff, clients (as needed)

Supervision:

-You will have dual reporting to Claudia Martin, Director of Media (primary) and to Gail Seaton, Director of Client Services. You will meet regularly with your supervisors to coordinate and shift priorities and will then work both independently and collaboratively as needed.

Experience/Job Knowledge/Skills Needed

-Internship with an advertising agency or in house advertising department or work for a college advertising agency is a plus.
-College classes in media buying or experience researching media for college is also a plus.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Strong organization skills, especially in managing cyclical activities
-Strong presentation skills
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Strong attention to detail
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
-Valid driver’s license
