Typeset and build e-books for assigned number of full-length books per year, and complete other typesetting projects as assigned, including the creation of line art (tables, charts, etc.), image adjustments, adjustments to reprint/new edition files and cover, inputting of proof corrections, and creation of print-ready PDFs for print vendors. Conduct quality-control checks of typeset files. Build ebooks in formats as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma and relevant coursework or specialized training beyond high school with one (1) year professional layout experience and proficiency in using Creative Suite software as well as using styles and templates; combination of relevant experience and education will be considered. Must have training in in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop. Work history will show the ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and Experience in the publishing industry. Additionally, familiarity with paging long-form documents; Demonstrated capability to learn well-formed-document workflow.
