Habitat for Humanity of Omaha has a Community Outreach Coordinator HabiCorps service position open in the PR/Communications/Faith Relations Department. (HabiCorps is modeled after the AmeriCorps program and is set up to function in a very similar way.)
Perfect for recent graduates or those who will be graduating in December. This is a full time position where the service member will be paid a stipend of approximately $1000 per month for a one year term.
"We are looking for someone who has a passion for community service and is self-motivated," says UNL ADPR alum and Habitat Communications Specialist Nina Graziano. "We have a lot of work to do and a very small team to do it so there isn't much time for micro-managing. This position has room for flexibility so the person selected will have input on some of the types of projects they work on. We want to make sure that they get as much out of the year of service as they put in."
