Jacht Ad Lab, the student advertising agency at the CoJMC, announces its fall 2017 crew and invites the public to their final presentation on Friday, Dec. 15 at 9 a.m..
Nearly 50 students representing majors across the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are a part of Jacht this semester. This is the largest group of students in Jacht’s history.
“Desire for experiential education continues to grow among our students,” said Dr. Amy Struthers, Founder and Director of Jacht.
Fall 2017 also marks the beginning of Jacht’s partnership with the nonprofit hub. The Nonprofit Hub is a communal workspace and education resource for organizations. This partnership aims to encourage students to gain experience within the nonprofit sector.
“The growth of Jacht reflects the evolution of the ad industry,” said Sandra Cranny, Strategy and Media Director of Jacht. “This partnership with the Nonprofit Hub, for example, shows the rise in interest in nonprofits among Generation Z students.”
In addition to the work with the Nonprofit Hub, Jacht will continue working for clients like Nebraska Bed and Breakfast, Nebraska Extension, “Hail Know” and Gateway Auto.
