Communications Intern- Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Program

The CDPC Program is seeking a Chronic Disease Communications Intern to assist in our communication efforts.

DHHS Unit: Division of Public Health, Health Promotion Unit
Hours/Week: 15-20
Closing Date: Friday, Jan. 26, 2018
Salary: $12/hour
Field: Journalism, Marketing, Communication Studies, Advertising and Public Relations
*Internship may extend beyond June 2018 depending on grant funding, work projects and intern availability.

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
 Work with the CDPC Epidemiologist and Evaluator to develop fact sheets, infographics, and brochures/flyers on chronic health conditions and programs in the state.
 Plan and help oversee advertising and promotional activities for the program, including print, online, electronic media and direct mail.
 Assist CDPC team in working with a contracted marketing firm to oversee the continued development of our PartnersNHealth website and other promotional materials.
 Work with the CDPC team to update and maintain the chronic disease pages on the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services website.
