
Reggie Rivers, professional broadcaster and motivational speaker, will be the keynote speaker of the 2018 Hearst Speaker Series on Diversity & Modern Media. The event is sponsored by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
The talk, "The Business of Football: Leadership Lessons from the Gridiron," will focus on diversity in sports and communications. Rivers will speak at the CoJMC in Andersen Hall, room 15 on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and admission to the event is free.
Reggie Rivers is a former NFL running back who played six seasons with the Denver Broncos during the 1990s. Reggie is a media personality and business owner, who has worked in newspaper, radio and television in Denver. He graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Journalism, and he earned a Master’s Degree in Global Studies from the University of Denver. He has written five books, the latest is the award winning novel, “The Colony: A Political Tale”.
