Beginning on April 1, the College of Journalism and Mass Communications will place a hold on student accounts for any checkout room equipment that is more than 10 days late.
Students can check out equipment from the CoJMC checkout room free of charge for 24 hours, with an optional 24-hour extension. Students who do not return equipment after their allotted time, will earn a $10 a day fine for 10 days, up to $100. After 10 days, a hold will be placed on the student’s account. To remove the hold, students must
• Return the equipment and pay the $100 late fee, or
• Purchase the equipment at the current retail value as determined by the college
