If your summer plans haven’t yet solidified, you can still register for JOUR 302 Reporting II in the first five-week summer session. The class is part of a decades-long collaboration between the CoJMC and the Seward County Independent and will give you a chance to do real work in a real community for real readers.
The class meets MWF 9:15 a.m. to noon for the first three weeks of the summer session. For the last two weeks, we travel every day to Seward in university vehicles to work from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (approximately) on special projects assigned by Seward editors. We’ll also have fun events to cover and stories to write on July Fourth, which is Seward’s mega-celebration.
