
The Omaha World-Herald Metro/Regional Editor, Connie White, will be on campus Tuesday, October 30, 2018, to interview students for the Spring 2019 Real World Fellowships. Two fellowships are available: one for a photographer and one for an online journalist/reporter.
This semester-long fellowship is 20 hours of work per week, scheduled around the selected candidate(s) class schedule(s). The position will be based largely working with the World-Herald's Lincoln bureau, with occasional travel to Omaha or for assignment.
*Qualifications: completion of Real World class by start of fellowship. Completion of Beginning Reporting course. Ideally, previous journalism internship.
Compensation: Minimum wage for hours worked; three hours’ class credit, tuition-paid; $2,500 stipend after successful conclusion of the semester.
*Bring to your interview: paper copies of your cover letter, resume, references, and 3-5 writing/work samples.
