In conjunction with the National Association for Media Literacy Education this course will teach students the fundamentals of how media literacy came to be such an important issue and how to combat the growing epidemic of "fake news." The course will include a guest lecturer from the Lincoln Journal Star, a field trip to the Nebraska Press Association and will conclude with a final reflection paper.
