School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP), a program of Lincoln Medical Education Partnership, is seeking a motivated, self-driven candidate for our Marketing/Event Planning Internship. As an intern, you will be exposed to the inner workings of a non-profit organization and how generating community awareness through events is an ongoing effort.
This intern will assist our staff with the day-to-day planning of our “Hop, SCIP, Jump and Run” event, including preparing correspondence, soliciting prizes from businesses, helping design posters and flyers for the event and using social media and other media outlets to raise awareness. The intern may also assist with preparations for our annual Spring conference.
Preferred Qualifications:
> Working toward a bachelor’s degree in marketing or advertising
> Strong written and verbal communication skills
> Ability to work independently and as part of a team
> Comfortable in approaching businesses for donations
This internship is 5 hours per week (flexible to accommodate your schedule).
