Description:
KPCC, one of the leading public radio newsrooms in the US, needs interns to support newscasts and newsmagazines. The schedule is negotiable. We can accommodate work study programs so long as a program's goals fit in with internship duties.
Our offices are located at 474 S. Raymond Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105
Duties:
The intern will pull and edit sound, conduct phone interviews, craft cut-and-copy packages for news anchors, and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Preference will be given to students with coursework and/or experience in journalism, especially broadcast journalism.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of current events, particularly in southern California. Strong writing skills, ability to take direction, work alone on projects, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Radio production skills and experience preferred; if no radio experience, general journalism skills and experience preferred.
