Public Information Technician I (temporary) - Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (Lincoln, NE)

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission seeks a temporary public information tech to edit video for social media channels (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram) and special presentations, schedule social media posts, add events to online event calendar and other duties as assigned. This flexible position (up to 40 hours a week) is perfect for an advertising or broadcasting student who is interested in a career in video, or someone with basic video editing experience who wants to improve his or her skills.

Examples of Work:
Ability to edit video for social media channels and special presentations, schedule social media posts, add events to online event calendar and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:
Experience in planning, writing, editing and producing informational materials/documents for publication, presentation or dissemination.

Preferred:
Experience editing video is essential. Professional experience with social media management is a plus, but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of video editing programs, preferably Final Cut Pro 10, experience with video editing, familiarity with social media channels, good customer service skills. Prefer a basic knowledge of Nebraska's outdoor resources and wildlife.
