The CoJMC is hiring a full-time marketing and communications associate.
Minimum required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, public relations, communications, journalism or related field plus 1 year of experience writing for a variety of communication platforms including publications, websites and social media required; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience engaging audiences across multiple channels necessary. Demonstrated use of both traditional and emerging media platforms essential. Must have excellent writing and editing skills. Knowledge of Associate Press (AP) style required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite or an appropriate alternative necessary. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience in journalism, public relations, advertising, marketing or communications in a non-profit or academic environment preferred. Experience with social media management systems, content management systems, photography, videography and graphic design desirable. Prefer experience in project management. Knowledge of scheduling and tracking social media posts on several platforms helpful. Familiarity with UNL brand standards helpful.
