Job Description:
Multi-media journalist to edit video for weekend morning news. Assists with production and boothing of weekend morning newscast. Shoots news stories and breaking news as needed. Fills in for video editors and photographers.
Job Responsibilities:
• Edit video for news broadcasts
• Assists weekend morning producer by writing stories for newscasts. Ability to booth the first hour of the newscast.
• Assists weekend morning producer with show advanced show preparation---primarly editing packages and vo/sots on Fridays. May be asked to help line up interviews for the weekend morning newscast.
• Vacation relief for editors and photographers.
• Perform tasks on tight deadlines

Experience:
Experience Requirements:
• Experience editing video in a news environment. Will consider a beginner with the right skills.
• Experience Shooting video in a news environment on tight deadlines
• Strong writing skills
• Familiarity with timing and boothing newscasts
Requirements:
Qualifications Requirements:
• Four year or associate degree in photography, journalism. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit video under tight deadlines
• Ability to carry 30-50 pounds of camera equipment
• Ability to perform work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Education:
• Bachelor or Associate Degree in photography, journalism or related field. Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
