Green Webinar on Rural Futures Institute

University of Nebraska Vice-President Ronnie Green will participate in a webinar with members of the Nebraska regional development network groups and the Partnership for Rural Nebraska on Monday, September 24, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CDT. He will share the vision, mission and other details about the new Rural Futures Institute with network members and invite their questions and suggestions.

We will connect through the University’s webinar capabilities, which will allow network members to participate either in groups or individually at their personal computers. Vice-President Green and I will conduct the webinar from the University’s Ag Communications studios on East Campus. You will be able to view a presentation by Vice-President Green of about 45 minutes, including PowerPoint slides, on the webinar screen. We will also have about 45 minutes for a live question and answer session through both a telephone conference call and through the chat room on the webinar screen. We originally had discussed a video conference system, but I believe the webinar will allow for a quality feed from the University and easy participation by the network members, who can chose to ask questions either by the phone or typing them in on the computer.

In order to insure that everyone can access the webinar, we will conduct two tests so that you can log on and check the audio. Music will be playing during the tests, which will be from 2-4p.m. CDT this Thursday, Aug. 16 and again from 11 a.m. to 12 noon CDT on Friday, August 17. We will use the same URL, below, that will be used for the actual webinar on September 24.
