Background: Over the past several years, extreme weather and disaster events have affected the Heartland region (Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa). As Nebraska Extension professionals, many of you have had critical roles in all phases of disasters and emergency management from preparedness to response and recovery. This includes the work you and your offices/units have done to create Emergency Action Plans, develop disaster/emergency kits and provide opportunities to complete lifesaving skills training like Stop the Bleed and CPR/AED/First Aid. We also have colleagues who have provided training supporting safety and mental well-being including Every Person’s Safety and Interaction’s Matter, Ambiguous Loss, Mending the Stress Fence, Q-P-R and more.

The survey: Please complete this short survey by December 15, 2023. The estimated completion time is less than 5 minutes. This link is unique to Nebraska Extension so responses can be tracked by state and compared regionally across the Heartland EDEN network.
