The Extension Risk Management Education – North Central Center, http://www.ncrme.org, in conjunction with the Northeast, Southern, and Western Centers announces a competitive funding opportunity for educational projects designed to help agricultural producers improve their economic viability through targeted risk management strategies.
The North Central Center will fund 12-month Education Projects (awards of up to $50,000) to be conducted between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015. The North Central Center will also fund Exploratory Projects (awards of up to $3,000) to support planning, development, and piloting efforts that are expected to lead to a future Education Project. Projects must be producer-focused and address at least one of the five areas of risk management, which are: production, marketing, financial, legal, and human resources.
