I am very excited that our Community Vitality Initiative is emerging with some really great work by the signature area program teams. Now is the time for all of us to think about our possible role with this initiative. All Extension professionals have three options:
1. Support CVI programming either directly or indirectly in your county(ies) by inviting CVI personnel to program locally.
2. Contribute to CVI signature program teams from your current Action Team assignment.
3. Apply for assignment as a CVI Educator. We intend to designate about 12 CVI Educators, some will be current Educators, some new hires.
If you would like to apply for the CVI Educator designation, please review the CVI position description (http://go.unl.edu/qu3m), visit with your District Research & Extension Director (new title for DDs) for authorization and submit the CVI Educator application by going to this link: Application - Community Vitality Extension Educator.
Applications are due July 25, 2014. The Extension Leadership Team will make these selections and notify all applicants.
