Raising Nebraska has three stages (Cooking Stage, Presentation Stage, and Conversation Pit) available for Nebraska Extension to engage with State Fair attendees during the 2015 Nebraska State Fair, August 28 – September 7. On Friday, May 8th you will be receiving a link that will allow you to register your program/presentation on one of the three stages. We are wanting the program/presentation to be as interactive as possible. Below is a brief description with possible ideas to assist with brainstorming. Please do not be afraid to ask Beth Janning for assistance with ideas. I am here to help!

Cooking Stage Guidelines: Develop own presentation as an individual or as team that utilizes the equipment in the kitchen (stove top, grill, griddle, oven) OR is a topic involving food safety, food preparation, or meat/food identification. Typical time slots are for one hour which includes prep, demo, and clean up.
Presentation Stage Guidelines: Develop own presentation as an individual or as team that is appropriate for the space. Ideas could be a hot topic in your field OR an interesting demonstration OR a game (Family Feud, Quiz Bowl, Minute to Win It). Typical time slots are for one hour. If the schedule allows, presenter may sign up for multiple slots in a row if a longer time frame is needed.
Conversation Pit Guidelines: Develop own presentation as an individual or as team that is appropriate for the space. Ideas could be showing own farm videos of crops, livestock, water usage OR quiz bowl game OR Farmer Reads a Book. Typical time slots are for one hour. If the schedule allows, presenter may sign up for multiple slots in a row if a longer time frame is needed.
