Raising Nebraska: Outdoors "Planting" Event

Raising Nebraska
Raising Nebraska

The second Phase of Raising Nebraska is well underway. Raising Nebraska: Outdoors is a 100-by-60-foot space in the shape of Nebraska with walkways through the space designed to mimic rivers. With interactive kiosks and graphic panels, the space highlights crops grown in different parts of the state, including corn, soybeans, sugar beets, and dry edible beans, along with horticulture and specialty crops. There will be a center pivot to demonstrate how crops are watered as well as an Outdoor Learning Center to host educational programming.

We are hosting a "planting" event on July 21-22 (see details below). If you have 4-H clubs or others who might be interested, let us know.

This is truly going to be an "over the top" addition to Raising Nebraska; special thanks to Kim Todd, Terri James, Elizabeth Killinger, and team for making it happen!
