We have some exciting news to share! Nebraska Extension is one of the top 200 finalists in State Farm Neighborhood AssistTM (out of a capped 2,000 entries). We want to teach people about disaster preparedness to increase community resiliency in Fremont. There are many vulnerable populations in our community (youth, elderly, non-native English speakers), and we saw the need and identified an opportunity.
Given the crowd-sourcing nature of this grant program, we need you—and all of Nebraska Extension, really—to rally behind our cause, cast your vote, and help us win $25,000 for Fremont! Here’s how: http://www.neighborhoodassist.com/entry/1979211 and vote for Fremont Disaster Preparedness Project.
The voting phase opens on Wednesday, Oct. 26, and it goes through Friday, Nov. 4. You can vote up to 10 times per day EVERYDAY per email address for our cause. Winner announcements are Nov. 30. Please forward this to ELT, colleagues, friends, and family to vote and help spread the word. We will be working hard to get the word out. Follow us on social media!
Thanks in advance for your support!
